How To Use Reiki For Cord Cutting

Writer: Adashia ReedAdashia Reed

When I first started doing reiki, I had no clue how to do a cord cutting but clients were requesting it. So I did what most people do, went to YouTube university. While I learned some things, there was NO information on how to use reiki for a cord cuttings. So this is for YOU!

✨And fyi, I will include a detailed YouTube video I made on this at the very end of this post✨

Step 1:

You must have a way to detect the cords. Not everyone is clairvoyant so get as creative as you want with this. Remember that your body is the original divination tool. I use my hand and scan for cords but you can use a pendulum or whatever else you like.

Step 2:

I pull the cord from the root until it is entirely gone. When the cord is removed, I place it in my “Cosmic Recycling Bin” for the energy to be transmuted. Then I scan, with my hand, until it is clear of cords.

Step 3:

I fill up the hole with a white, reiki healing light. Anytime you remove something, please place something better in its place.

Step 4:

I seal it over with a color. I call upon my or the clients guides for this or I use my claircognizance to do this.

Some ethics with cord cuttings:

  1. Never cut a cord without the clients permission. It goes against their free will. (I’ve actually done this, thinking I was being helpful, and it upset my client so bad that I’ll never forget this hard lesson).

  2. Only cut cords that are ready to be cut. Luckily for me, that is the only time I detect them but that may not be the case for you. If I didn’t have this ability, I would simply tell my guides to only bring them to my attention if they need to be cut. I suggest the same or something similar for yourself.

  3. Advise the client that cords could reattach if they aren’t truly ready to let this person go or continue to dwell on the situation.

  4. Advise the client that cords don’t always remove someone from the person’s life but it will give an opportunity for a healthier relationship or a shift in the positive direction to happen.

Happy cord cuttings!
